The Vice President of Committees serves second in command to the GPSG President, which entails supporting the GPSG President through both event and meeting attendance and facilitation, and helping him or her in interactions with the University Administration. Other responsibilities of this position require that the officer coordinate and facilitating graduate student representation on a wide variety of University committees. These include University-wide committees such as the Board of Trustees Committees, Provost’s Committees, Senate Committees, and sub-committees within the GPSG hierarchy. The Vice President of Committees also coordinates GPSG’s attendance and representation at all Graduate Student Orientations in the early fall and organizes a winter Graduate Student Appreciation event.
